Description AMPCO Safety Tools • Combination wrench set • Metric (BeCu) Non-sparking, non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant safety hand tools Non-sparking tools are used in areas where a high risk of fire or explosion exists, typically due to the presence of flammable or combustible vapors, liquids or dust. Non-magnetic tools are used near highly sensitive magnetic equipment like military applications, mine clearance operations and in the medical field, for MRI and other scanning equipment or equipment using large magnets. AMPCO Safety Tools are made from specially developed AMPCO alloys with a typical magnetic permeability between 1.01 and 1.2 AMPCO Safety Tools have outstanding corrosion resistance which makes them the best choice in the most demanding and aggressive environments, on land or at sea. The AMPCO alloys have been tested in accordance with Annex E of EN 80079-38:2016 for impact energies up to 102 J. No ignitable sparks were detected during the tests in a hydrogen air atmosphere. The materials are “low sparking” for gas atmospheres of explosion groups llA, llB and llC (except acetylene) in accordance with Annex E of EN 80079-38 AMPCO Safety Tools made of the non-sparking AMPCO alloys meet the European Directive 1999/92 for ATEX zones. AMPCO Safety Tools have a lifetime warranty, except for countries where a lifetime warranty is not allowed by local law (e.g. Germany where the warranty is limited to 30 years). If an AMPCO tool breaks or fails to perform under normal service, it will be repaired or replaced without charge. Normal service wear or breakage, due to abuse or misuse, is not covered by the warranty.
